Curriculum - Senior School (Year 10, 11 & 12)

At St Ursula’s College, students are taught by enthusiastic and professional staff who encourage, motivate and support girls to achieve their best.

Year 10 Curriculum

Year 10 students have the opportunity in the Core subjects to taste Queensland Authority Subjects before making final decisions in Year 11 and 12. Study of Religion, English, Mathematics (Extension and Core), Science (Extension and Core), Social Sciences (Modern History, Geography, Legal Studies and Ancient History), Health and Physical Education and Futures Education.

Year 11 & 12 Curriculum

The Year 11 and 12 curriculum is very extensive. The ‘Shared Campus arrangement ‘ with St Brendan’s College broadened the subject offering for both schools. Career Guidance is offered to all students and girls are encouraged to consider both traditional and non-traditional subject areas.

There are three pathways offered to students:

  1. Tertiary Entrance (for students who are University oriented and require Authority subjects)
  2. Vocational Education and Training (for students who are seeking a pathway to employment, higher level qualifications, traineeships and apprenticeships)
  3. A combination of tertiary and vocational
